It's 3.5 weeks into Singapore, and time has passed me by like a whirl.
I am thankful for this weekend because it's just time to sit down, drink coffee, play with baby R, watch service, do my favourite things and meet my favourite friends. Yesterday was a blast, cos it was Jungle Spa.
The last time I did the run to Bukit Timah was with Perry - almost a year ago. :)) I remember how last year on Friday nights, I would wonder if I could actually keep up with Perry and friends, and go all the way to BTH. Yesterday, I just decided to "just do it", and i made it to post Temasek Club, and back.
The setting off together with SY, the milestones each part of the trail, the tree-top walk, the "see you later" - and finally, the convergence as we cooled down and enjoyed the sweet sugarcane - all worth it! Sometimes, for me, it's the pushing myself beyond. I woke up this morning feeling so good. :)
My lone adventure as I just ran. For most parts towards Temasek Club, I ran. The return trip was a mixture of walk and jog. I was starting to feel tired and my mind was filled with images of sugar cane. And I don't listen to music when I run or clock my run the way I used to. I just want to breathe and enjoy the trail, the nature.
And thankful for Shui Yen, who waited for me patiently as I ran on. It was a fun morning. :)
1st and 2nd check-points with her. The amazing uncle photographer captured the pics with no one behind us. There was in fact a whole troupe of at least 20 people in front of us on the tree top walk. :-D
And, the little antics and fun here and there. :-D So so fun, and so so enjoyable.
I am looking forward to another short run later. May the weather hold!
