Baby steps again

Yesterday, after service, we went to East Coast Park. I tried to blade again, after a hiatus of 4 months!!

Those were baby steps that I took. Had to conquer the fear and I knew I must face it! So I tried. Gingerly at first. :) It soon got better.

I fell once but it was ok. However, there was this really scary part! Dear Bubu, if not for ur hand, I think I would have landed in the drain!! Thinking about it now still causes me to miss a heartbeat. I was really heading towards a drain but somehow, my left leg managed to magically swerve and then i saw Bubu's hand and reached out for safety....

Haha, and there was this very cool pict of Kel. We wanted to take an aeroplane, but got Kel instead. He looks so EMO!! Let me show you what I mean. So EMO... Awwwww

Olenju is perplexed

I am now taking a break. Listening to the radio, surfing, n saw my students' blogs, thanks to Ting Chun! And quite a few of them too. Saw the C Girls bballers! It's interesting to read their entries! Haha, makes me feel like writing too.

I am perplexed because I am FOREVER packing my room. It's never-ending! Enigma... Well, strangely, I do enjoy packing, and maybe that's the problem. Because I will always stop to look at the things on my cluttered table. I'll always pause for very long, wondering if I should throw or keep them, and then decide that I will decide on it later...

Another reason would be that I would get super distracted. I'd feel tired after a while and would surf the net, chat on MSN, and occasionally, when a very nice song plays, I would get very EMO, n melancholic... and then I'd really go on to do other things, leaving my mess the way it was.

Sometimes, despite feeling disgusted at the mess (Bro ZW called it the organised mess), and having the conviction to tidy the room again, and the fact that I did try to focus on clearing and cleaning, it somehow doesn't get done... It's really quite weird... SIGH

Yet, the rewards at the end keep me going. It's the clean and clear table top that keeps me going. That's why I am in a perpetual state of cleaning. There were times when I had a really neat room and table and I would feel so proud and happy! It's a sense of achievement just to sit at my table doing work at those times... It's really a nice feeling to savour!

Now I am sitting amidst my mess. I dunno how I can manage to get ready in time for Japan. Lots to pack. Yet it shall be done. I am right now very focused on getting my room in order and I shall try my very best. GANBATTE!

My favourite pict!Up close and personal with the PUMA! Cool right!

After many attempts, I finally did it!

And it's really after many many attempts. :)

This zoo trip has been a fruitful one. It's strange how as Singaporeans, we don't really think about visiting our own places of interest. I often hear of people complaining about having no place to go to, or how boring Singapore is. Try visiting the zoo! haha. :)

Anyway, apart from the fact that I started sneezing non-stop there, I really thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was very tranquil to just observe nature and the animals, and there were many episodes that got both Steve and myself laughing quite a bit. :) We paid $5 more per person and enjoyed the train and tram rides. It was worth it! Also, this zoo trip was a great time for Steve and me. First time we went on such an extraordinary date and dear silly man, if you read this, it was really special for me, albeit the sneeze sneeze. :)

Ok, it's quite late now, and tomorrow, Dr Robb Thompson is coming. I'm looking forward to it! His words of wisdom... wow, tremendous.

You never know what loyalty is until betrayal rears its ugly head. :-D

My trip at the zoo

Sometime back, I thought it would be so cool
To once again visit the zoo
It's been like quite a while
Since I was near the wild

Furthermore I was inspired
By Xiaowei and her family
They went to the zoo before me
And so, I spoke to Steve

Shall we go to the zoo, I asked
Surely it'll be a great time of fun
So it was finally decided
And so to Mandai we headed

(AIYOH, I have too many messages to reply to on MSN. My chain of thoughts disrupted. I think there goes my poem.. Haha, but nvm, I have picts to show. Big animals, small animals, all I have. Here I will post, some of them. n thanks Xiaowei, I really felt more determined to go when I read about how ur family had fun there! )
